Election Reform
Data from 2024–2025 shows only ~1–2% of non-elected candidates continue to contribute post-election. Most candidates are "passive" unless they hold a seat.
Lorenzo Bruno to review Gintama’s raw data and identify specific "point values" for different types of participation (voting, SIGs, etc.).
"Growth Seats" Proposal
Gintama suggested reserving 6 out of 10 committee seats for "proven contributors" (those with active working group history) to ensure institutional memory.
Working Group to debate the feasibility of "Growth Seats" vs. "Expert Seats" for the October 2026 cycle.
April 2026 Improvements
Planned updates include showing "Member Participation Data" on application profiles, mandatory "Responsibility Acknowledgement," and post-election surveys.
Valeria Devaux to implement the "Participation Dashboard" for applicants in the next 6 weeks.
Accessibility & Inclusion
The application process will be translated into 5 languages (English, Spanish, Japanese, French, and Khmer) to reduce barriers to entry.
Lorenzo Bruno to finalize volunteer translations for French and Khmer.
Audit Transparency
Marine raised concerns about the "7-day black box" between voting close and results. Group agreed that long delays look suspicious to the community.
